Hanks joined Delgado in front of the weather map of the United States and said suddenly, "I'm just going to dance." Delgado went with it. Moving in sync at times, and other times completely out of rhythm, Hanks and Delgado turned the weather report into a surreal performance-art piece, as the rest of the team and the crew guffawed with laughter. Hanks ended with a very funny bit, walking down pretend stairs and out of the camera's view, as Delgado doubled over in laughter.
Afterward, Delgado said, "You did great, Tom. Maravilloso."
Hanks, who got his start in show business with comedic roles in the sitcom Bosom Buddies and films like Splash and Bachelor Party, has made more of a name for himself as an Oscar-winning dramatic actor in serious films like Philadelphia, Saving Private Ryan and Castaway. But the Larry Crowne trailer, along with Hanks' hysterical appearance on Despierta America, makes us fondly remember his comedic roots. We're excited to see him tackle funny material again.
Seems like Hanks is in agreement. The had so much fun with the Univision team that he stayed on for the entirety of the three-hour show, even participating in the cooking segment.
Afterward, he took to his Twitter feed, saying enthusiastically, "Gotta love Univision! What a fun hour that was, peppers for breakfast! Que bueno! Hanx."
